I am delighted to be an Associate for the Centre for Homelessness Impact, a new evidence institute which will join the UK What Works Network.

I will help develop the Centre's strategy, with a particular focus on its approach to evidence and impact measurement. This involves an interesting mix of interventions to ensure that evidence is available and accessible, and mechanisms to ensure that this evidence is actually used to change practice on the ground. The Centre isn't just interested in more and better evidence, it wants more and better evidence to help end homelessness.

I have written a blog to outline why evidence matters to the Centre and how the adoption of standards of evidence are a vital first step in its work.
